Styling for Events
When providing the Extra Ordinary Events that we do, its important to understand the client brief, and sometimes to be able to have the right connections and certainly people for the job. We had a brief from a client on a very large corporate outdoor event where we were providing 4 Big Hat Tipis and most of the furniture and accessories we provide. We knew that due to the time restrictions, items we have in stock, job brief intricacies and creative requirements, this was something we needed a Stylist for.
Having worked with Oliver Miller The Interior Styling & Home Staging Specialists on my personal property previously where he assisted the sale of our home in a timely manner as well as maximising the price tag, we knew we would be in safe hands. Luckily for us, Oliver Miller also provides Event propping and Styling and has a catalogue of amazing furniture pieces and accessories we don’t carry as they are outside of a usual event brief. This option was exactly what we needed to fulfil this extra ordinary event brief for this corporate event.
As the event was in London, it was important to have a high-end partner to help create the space we need and who are comfortable within the London landscape.

Corporate Client Event
The client wanted to create separate zones within the tipis, including a “sleep zone”, “living room” and “active space”. Oliver Miller Staging was able to utilise our catalogue of accessories but more importantly fill in the gaps of what we needed which included beds, beautiful bed linins and cushions, sumptuous rugs, vases, and occasional tables. Oliver Miller and team installed the living room zone which when completed created a zen, cosy area perfect for what the client wanted. We were able to add to our Chillout Set with Oliver Miller’s beautiful armchairs, sofas, settees and foot stalls. These perfectly complimented what we had on offer, and raised the bar on making the space really feel like a high-end interior of a home.
The active space was pulled together by Oliver Miller and his team by placing a mixture of yoga mats and traditional rugs on top of the tipi floor to make a free flowing space where anyone could lay down, work out, meditate and more. This area was particularly challenging as we were unsure of how to make the area look beautiful as well as function, but that is where Oliver Miller’s team came into play. They were able to manipulate the lighting we install, adding our Pearl Drop Chandelier as a centrepiece and perfectly plan and install the pieces needed.
Event Styling
On the day of install Oliver Miller and his team were prompt to arrive on site. All members of the installation team were smart, smiley and professional. Due to the extensive planning and meetings held before the event the whole team were perfectly briefed as to where every piece of furniture, cushion, rug and vase were to be placed within the tipis. No time was spared in getting straight to work. The whole team were very efficient, friendly and helpful. The team couldn’t do enough to make sure their props were placed in perfect synchronicity to the items Blue Sky Tipis had on site. Oliver Miller himself was on site throughout the process, tweaking, checking in with us and putting the finishing touch on every space.
Oliver Miller was the perfect partner for us to mobilise this unusual client brief and fill in the gaps of what we needed extra to make the event come to life. At the end of the instal day, between the two businesses we had successfully answered the clients brief, created an amazing space for the guests and memories of this corporate event.
